Joining this department after leaving my graduation college turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Here, our teachers are not just educators but true guiding angels who taught us not only phonetic transcription but also the finest "transcription" of life itself. While studying American literature, ma’am emphasized the importance of staying connected to our Indian roots and literature. Poems like Paradise Lost and The Rime of the Ancient Mariner were taught in such an extraordinary way that it feels like no one else in the world could teach them better. The value of Indian literature and fiction was highlighted with great depth, and even complex subject like critical theory was explained with such ease and clarity that it became everyone’s favorite instead of being intimidating. The department’s atmosphere is truly exceptional, where we gained lessons from books and equally valuable life lessons. Every program was celebrated with enthusiasm and dedication. The co-curricular activities were vibrant, and the academics were undoubtedly outstanding. Every student deserves a department like this. I’m incredibly grateful to have been a part of it, and I deeply miss my time there.
